Bridget's Starry Stage Debut

My older daughter, Bridget, made her stage debut Monday, Dec. 11, at age 5. She played the part of a star in her preschool Christmas pageant. The 20-minute performance was very entertaining. It also featured camels, sheep, shepherds, angels, wise men, Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. All the kids were adorable, but of course my eyes were plastered on my little one for the duration. Her costume consisted of a large cut-out star that she was to hold up so that it surrounded her face. The star stayed in place for about 1/3 of her performance. For the other 2/3, it was either down at her side while she looked around at the other kids onstage, or placed on her head like a hat, with the hole for her face pulled down onto her noggin. I was quite proud of her creative performance.
